Oncology Massage treatment is an approach to massage therapy based in both compassion and specialized massage treatment.
Oncology massage is a blend of Holistic Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Reflexology. Treatment is adapted to suit any stage of cancer and post cancer, aiming to support people in this difficult experience of cancer.
In the past, therapists thought massage would increase blood circulation and therefore cause cancer to spread. It’s not true, no matter where you are in your journey with cancer, oncology massage can help. How does Oncology Massage differ from a standard treatment?
I am trained to meet people where they are in their experience with cancer and apply a highly individualized massage treatment to comfort, nurture and support them in their process.
Massage therapist and founder of YouTime
I discovered my passion for massage when my daughter was diagnosed with ALL. Driven by my desire to help her get through the difficult chemotherapy treatment, I began doing regular massage sessions with her. Even with no massage training at the time, I noticed how much she was benefiting from my human touch.
Soon after, I received my ITEC diploma in Holistic Massage and studied Therapeutic Massage at the Healing Massage School. Today I’m delighted to be fully qualified as a massage therapist.
At You Time, I offer a wide range of massage services designed to help my clients improve their daily lives. I’m constantly learning about new massage techniques and love working with people . I feel blessed doing what I’m passionate about. I look forward to seeing you!
